Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Northern Mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos) is widespread in the United States, found in open areas near bushes, open woodland, parks, and often gardens. It is usually conspicuous hopping around chasing other birds aggressively, flicking its long tail, foraging on the ground, running on the ground with its tail raised, using its bill to toss sticks and leaves while foraging, and singing endlessly. It measures about 10 inches in length and about 1.7 ounces in weight. Its diet consists of insects and fruit.
This Northern Mockingbird holding a caterpillar in its bill and perching on a wooden fence was photographed at the Croton Point Park, in Croton, New York, on 7-13-2019. I used a Nikon D850 camera body and a Nikon 500mm f/4.0E FL ED VR lens to capture this image. Settings: 1/2000 sec, f/7.1, ISO 640.
