The recipe is one our family created back when we ran a farmstand and truck garden. August is blueberry time in Washington County, Maine and we sold many muffins using this recipe. The handwritten and marked up recipe is still in my recipe box and it's condition shows the use it has had through the years. Created with fond memories of the farm for all my hardworking children who contributed their summers to make the farm a success. Also a special shout out to the blueberry rakers who are out there every day rain or shine to get the job done!
