"I recently purchased this adorable t-shirt for my 2 year old granddaughter who refers to this, and everything orange, as "Grandpa's car", and she absolutely loves it!

This was my second t-shirt purchase with art by this artist. They both turned out lovely. Mr Urrizaga's art is wonderfully imaginative and colorful. The only thing more difficult than choosing an image was choosing the proper color shirt.

My little duck loving friend was less that 2 years old when she fell in love with ducks. It was one of her first words. She loves her shirt!

Artist's Description

Mahone Bay; 1911, William James Glackens (March 13, 1870 – May 22, 1938) was an American realist painter and one of the founders of the Ashcan School of American art. He is also known for his work in helping Albert C. Barnes to acquire the European paintings that form the nucleus of the famed Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. His dark-hued, vibrantly painted street scenes and depictions of daily life in pre-WW I New York and Paris first established his reputation as a major artist. His later work was brighter in tone and showed the strong influence of Renoir. During much of his career as a painter, Glackens also worked as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines in Philadelphia and New York City.

About William James Glackens

William James Glackens

From the time I was a child I have been intrigued with the patterning of light and the interaction of color. In the course of my life path I fell away from any sense of creative freedom, working from what I thought was expected of me. Through the long process of releasing an imposed belief system and replacing it with my own experiences and truths I have become able, emotionally and spiritually to access my child spirit through my adult educated mind. The spirituality of the theories in these genres has also had a great impact on me. In my work I seek to establish the intricate web...
