Yeshua/Jesus praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. He wore the traditional Jewish prayer shawl (tallit) with the tassels (tzitzit) on the hem as described in Numbers 15:37-40 and Deuteronomy 22:12. The tallit is a respectful reminder of God's commandments. In ancient times the tassels also had a connotation of authority. Saul knew this when David cut off the corner of his tallit. The New Testament references Jesus wearing a tallit in Luke 8:44 and Mark 6:56. Today Jews still cover themselves under a tallit when praying at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. When I painted NO GREATER LOVE, I imagined what it will be like when I come face to face with the one who poured out his love for me on the cross.
