Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Wave energy. The world's first commercial sea- based wave energy machine, Osprey 1, being towed to its offshore site at Dounreay in Scotland in August 1995. 'Osprey' stands for 'Ocean Swell Powered Renewable Energy'. Waves entering the broad base of the machine are channeled into a chamber. As the water rises & falls air is forced in and out of the chamber through turbines, which generate electricity. The structure is designed to generate 2 megawatts of electricity which are sent to the National Grid via a submarine cable. Unfortunately, due to manufacturing fault, Osprey 1 failed a few weeks after launch. However, Osprey 2 is already in development to replace her.
