Description
There are a number of ancient abandoned vehicles scattered about in southwest Colorado. Broken, twisted and forlorn, this 1946 Chevy truck sits quietly on Monogram Mesa, slowly rusting into the desert.
Update Sep 2013: this truck, sadly, has been removed from its resting place on the Mesa. All that is left to show it was once there are the seat springs.

I would love to see you join our group "Best Representational Oil Acrylic and Watercolors on FAA" This would be a fantastic submission to the group. V/F

Now there's a coincidence - I was thinking about joining that very group just yesterday evening! Thank you for the invitation and the lovely comment!

Old abandoned vehicles, especially those left in surroundings that are themselves remote feeling but still pretty, make great pictures. Lovely watercolor, Shirley. v9
Shirley Miller replied:
Thank you, Nikolyn. I am amazed at the age of some of the abandoned vehicles we come across. In my native UK they would have become nothing but flakes of rust long ago.
