Some of Audrey Jeanne's earliest memories were of going to the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park with her grandmother and riding on the antique carousel just outside the gates. Being a seaside city and spending most of her summers at the shore gave her such an affinity with the sea. This whimsical "Sea Horse" came out of that love. Combining vintage printer's decorative etched drawings and elements and modern watercolor artwork this poster is a modern compilation for contemporary decor. This one is a regal "Carousel Seahorse" with and a Carousel Sign that says, "Carousel Rides 5 cents." The warm watercolor wash background sets off the rich bright aqua blue and royal blue tail. lThis artwork captures the grandeur of the ocean with a tall ship, ship's wheel and an anchor.
