This is a photograph of a meal I had for Xmas. Most of it was home made so I felt that this was a creative process well worth recording. With it being very hot here in Australia, Xmas dinners tend to be more unconventional and largely, salads and/or barbeques. Prawns are also becoming and increasing favorite of Aussies down under, which I love too. But this time I had smoked turkey with loads of cranberry sauce, homemade potato salad (which I love....ie add radishes, celery and onion to it mixed with top quality dressing), cucumber, tomato, red capsicum with red onion salad and a lovely coleslaw mix and stuffed olives sprinkled on top. Eaten together with a glass of appletiser mixed with some red wine, it made a really special and memorable meal for Christmas. Usually I go for very simple (for my health sake) but feasting a few times a year makes life interesting and my heart happy.
