Description
The Corner Room, 100 W. College Ave., has been at its present location since 1926. Though the venue is known across generations of Penn State alumni, the property has changed hands only three times. Back whe Old Main was the only build the Corner Room went by the name Jack’s Roadhouse. In 1926 they changed the name to the Corner Room and has been that way ever since. One reason for it’s popularity is every generation can experience the same qualities as the generations before, by true to the origins of the restaurant the owners have stayed. They main cliental is Alumni’s coming back to visit. The corner room gets its share of students by offering student friendly specials all you can eat pasta night. The atmosphere is unique with it’s high back booths offering a lot of privacy, blue plate specials, ala carte burgers and sandwiches. They have become a great place to meet up with friends and family. Like the Corner Room’s slogan for the Past 70 years “Meet Me at the Corner”. I always stop when in town. This picture was taken in 2012 and created to look like an old time photo.
