I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Great canvas and framing. A decent shipping time, and EXCEPTIONAL safe packaging. Just an appropriate image for my viewing/listening room. Just took the speaker grills off for this photo.
Artist's Description
This fetish of honoring a array of Indian women shows the big Chief in the center while all around the various parts of the Indian blanket shows Indian women from different tribes doing life with papoose, pottery, cooking, tee pees with smoke and the mixed media is that the chief has real bird feathers in the head dress. Pieces of real leather is in various areas. The middle metal buckle literally lets pieces of real leather hang down the front of the canvas. Each section of this ornate Indian blanket is rendered with different glazes. It has beautiful bright and grays to please.
About Susan McNeil
WELCOME TO MY ART SHOWING, (CLICK ANY PICTURE FOR A LARGER VIEW) I was born in Odessa, Texas and lived all of my childhood in El Paso, Texas. Doodling with my dad before pre-school helped me to not hardly be able to wait until art was offered in the the 7th grade. I took art 7th thru 12th grade just because I loved it. In 1968 my tempera/watercolor called "Mexican Still Life" hung at the San Antonio HEMISPHERE with a blue ribbon. My parents sent off for a correspondence study in commercial art to encourage me. I helped at the annual school carnivals by drawing people's faces to make money for the Art Dept. I helped teacher's with posters and some work on stage props designs. I was awarded "Who's Who in Art for Ysleta High School...

It was a college art assignment. I had to make a fetish picture and I chose the Indian world. I went through all the books at the library that had Indian women and made sketches of all the things they do. Then I decide to make a big chief in the middle because they were servants you know. I went crazy and put real feathers for the head dress. I put real leather pieces in the paint. There is a real metal buckle in the middle of a patch of leather with real leather strands hanging out of it. I get more compliments on it than most. The way I made the paint to transition to the next level is just experimenting with washes. I got real excited just messing around with washes. Thanks for look at my work.

I really like this. I was drawn to it because of the colors. Then when I looked at it closer, I found so much more. This is really cool! L
