A totally adequate purchase - nothing outstanding, nothing problematic. Since the original was one of your stock images, I cannot speak to whether this was a clear image, besides which the original was a watercolor, so clarity is not essential to the success of the image. I predict that a larger image would lack clarity. But I'm generally satisfied.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description

When Sam Phillips opened his studio in 1950 at 706 Union Avenue, it was known as Memphis Recording Service. What we know today as Sun Studio then shared space with the Sun Records label. Among its many claims to fame, the first rock and roll single, Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats' "Rocket 88" was recorded there in 1951. Over the years, a litany of rock n roll, Blues, and R&B legends would record here. The list includes the likes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Charlie Feathers, Ray Harris, Warren Smith, Charlie Rich, and Jerry Lee Lewis. It's not said lightly that Sun Studios is the legendary home or birthplace of Rock N Roll. Much of modern music traces its roots to this historic corner of Memphis, TN.

The record label was sold in 1969 and decades passed before the building reclaimed its heritage as a recording studio where more recent greats have recorded under the same roof as those pioneers of modern music.

About Mark Tisdale

Mark Tisdale

Life is full of happy surprises. After just over a decade working in the 9 to 5 cube world, I threw caution to the wind to follow my dreams of being a full time visual artist. That was five years ago! Is it easy? No, but something truly worthwhile is rarely simple. My body of work is wide ranging from photographic scenes of far away places, more near and dear locations, and more fanciful artwork. It's all crafted with a heartfelt love for finding the beauty in little captured moments. My artwork also hangs on walls near and far from private homes to businesses who have chosen to decorate with my art. Whether you've purchased one piece or a house full or you simply admire and share with your friends, your patronage of my art is...
