Awesome! I love it. The wood came with a small split, but it blends into the character of the wood. Really neat.

Got this for my fiancé for his birthday.. he is a huge larry bird fan.. I mean.. beyond. he has excel spreadsheets proving why Larry is the best of all time... He absolutely loved this gift. Totally wasn't expecting it. I know it made him tear up a little, he was in such disbelief. Arguably one of the best sports illustrated covers of all time. The quality is incredible. I can't wait to order more from this site for future christmas gifts.

Got as a gift for my neighbor who is a huge Lion's fan, his first year with season tickets. Good year to make that purchase. He loves it in his new office.

This was great. I then ordered a canvas of Thomas Merton and got some cheap poorly stapled piece. Sent it back Saturday. Hope I get a refund. Yesterday I ordered Our Sister Thea Bowman on canvas. Hope it comes as ordered and like St. Lazarus of Bethany.
Artist's Description
Mickey Charles Mantle was born in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1931, the son of a minor-league player who never made it to the big leagues and named him after Major Leaguer Mickey Cochrane. Mickey's father and grandfather -- who also never made it to the majors -- taught him how to play baseball, but more importantly also taught him how to be a switch-hitter.
Mickey grew up during the Great Depression, which hit Oklahoma especially hard. Times were so tough that the only way to play sports as a kid was to play with friends; there were no organized leagues around back then. It was while playing baseball with his friends that Mickey's astonishing talent for the game made itself evident. When he got into high school he played baseball, basketball and football and excelled at all three. Some thought that he would become a football player when he grew up, but Mickey had known what he wanted to be since the age of five: a baseball player, and nothing else. A devastating knee i...
About Gregory Perillo
Gregory Perillo is one of today’s most respected and renowned American Western artists. His powerfully dramatic, emotional depictions of Native Americans and early settlers, as well as Western landscapes and wildlife, have made him one of America’s leading painters and sculptors. Born in Greenwich Village, Perillo moved to Staten Island, New York, at age two and has lived there his entire life. Poverty stricken as a boy, he was forced to use as canvases the paper bags ironed by his mother and his first medium was coffee. His earliest impressions of the American West came from his father, an immigrant, who was studying American History. As a youngster, Perillo studied the works of the masters of American Western art, spending much of...
