Thousands of snow geese and sandhill cranes gathered at a pond in Bosque del Apache in New Mexico at dawn and prepared for their morning flight after the sunrise. When they took off from the pond at the same time, when thousands of birds fly together, their wings make a very loud sound -- and of course, birds are talkative, so loud squawking sounds comes with it too. This picture captured their quiet moment before their morning departure.

My photography life started when I was working for a newspaper in New York City in 2005. Back then I was very busy taking pictures of humans and their stories and had no time to visit nature scenes. So my life as a nature photographer started several years later - in the beautiful Lone Star State, Texas. In Texas, I found myself in the middle of stunning wildflower fields, woke up in the mornings hearing beautiful songs of birds, and encountered many wildlife in my backyard and parks. I was captivated by the abundance of nature and started observing and photographing their life, habitats, and environment.
