Super happy how print came out, but looks a little less vibrant even after just a cool water quick wash. Still nice looking, but would have preferred the vibrancy to have remained.

Duke left the West behind and was transported to the ocean in John Ford's "The Long Voyage Home" (1940), based on Eugene O'Neill's short sea plays.
The "Stagecoach" team of producer Walter Wanger, screenwriter Dudley Nichols and director Ford were reunited, only cinematographer Burt Glennon was replaced by Gregg Toland, some consider the greatest cinematographer ever in Hollywood.
Duke even managed a passable Norwegian accent. Cast member John Qualen was noted for his Norwegian accent.
{Note: I was in a production of O'Neill's one act sea play "Where the Cross Is Made," in 1961 at the University of Minnesota, directed by Joan Engberg, my drama coach.}

In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
