Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

I wanted a photo that showed what a beast these things are, and this one really shows it.

Perfect! I wish that you'd included a translation of the two inscriptions in some ancient language that are above the shoulders of St John Coltrane. It would cost your company virtually nothing to supply this with the picture.

About Jenny Armitage
Jenny Armitage lives, paints, and draws in Salem Oregon. She's currently riding two horses: impressionist watercolor and surreal ink. Jenny's watercolors are about light and shadow patterns. She's most interested in forest and cityscapes, where the light bounces around creating interesting light patterns. These paintings begin with a pattern of light seen in the real world. Her ink drawings are illustrative of ideas. She has a thought and seeks to translate it to paper. Unlike her watercolors, the image begins with thought, not sight. The result is less painterly and more illustrative. Her recent watercolor goddess series straddles these two ideas. The paintings begin with an idea, but the execution is painterly and perhaps...

Beautiful tones to this, Jenny. You show the medium as transparent watercolor on canvas. Is that a stretched canvas? How do you treat the surface and would it be under glass? Hope this is not too many questions.
Jenny Armitage replied:
Don't know how I missed your comment. The painting is on stretched canvas primed for watercolor. After painting, I sprayed it with Krylon's UV stop coat and then varished it with Goldens acrylic matte varnish. There is no need for glass and it may be washed with a damp rag.
