Olympus, actually is a range of mountains with many peaks, composed of Lower and Upper Olympus.The highest peak Mitikas was regarded the seat of gods and goddesses. Olympus is noted for its rich flora and fauna. It is a National Park of Greece and a World's Biosphere Reserve. The word "olympus" mean "shining all", because of the clear air and the radiant whiteness of the rocks.
