Mycenaean Gold Jewellery
The jewellery of the Mycenaean civilization (16th-12th century BC), mainly of gold, displays a remarkable variety and wealth. Its production increased considerable during the 14th and 13th c. BC., when the Mycenaean expanded throughout the Helladic mainland, the Aegean, the eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus. Images of Mycenaean funerary gold objects such as diadems, rosettes, earrings, chains, necklaces, signet-rings and other types of jewelry from the Royal vaulted tombs of Mycenae and other cemeteries.
