Andonis was born in Constantinople. I was awarded a B.A degree in Anthropology and History of Art from S.U.N.Y. at New Paltz, New York. I combine photography, archaeology, and nature. Recently, I reside in Greece, cooperating with publishing houses and magazines. I have published articles with photos covering from Neolithic, Cycladic, Minoan, Mycenaean, Bronze Age, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic up to the Imperial Roman period. Delphi

Delphi during prehistoric times was a site for worship of Mother Earth as "delphi" means "womb" indicating veneration of Gaia. Later in 8th century B.C the sanctuary of Apollo was built.There is a misconception that the oracle predicted the future, actually gave advice on how to avoid disaster, to clean impiety and to establish settlements at Mediterranean.Three phrases are carved into the temple as eternal teachings:"Know thyself", "Nothing in excess".and "make a pledge and mischief is nigh".
