About Ursula Brozovich
Born on Curacao and raised in the Netherlands and in the Caribbean, I have lived since March 2005 with my husband on our farm in the United States.
As a teenager, I was very fortunate to be a student of the Caribbean painter Luis (Luigi) Benjamin Pinedo, who introduced me to oil and pastel. Although I participated in art shows, accepted commissions, and sold my art in the Caribbean, United States and Europe over the past 20 years, I was still considering painting as a hobby besides my full time office job. In 2009 I turned my passion and hobby into a career.
For the past couple of years my heart inclines more towards fantasy and children's book illustration. November 2011, I started working on my first children's book, when I realized that I lacked important illustration skills. So, I went back to college and am really enjoying learning all the technical aspects of children's book illustration.

My desire to understand the nature of all living beings carried me into studying social psychology (2009)and animal care (1989) Over the past 30 years I have volunteered for animal rescue/dog training and worked at a grooming salon. I share these experiences and observations on my blog.
