Hi, Natalie. My newest highly impasto palette knife oil painting depicts the scenic view of Vernazza, one of the five picturesque villages of Cinque Terre, Italy, seen on the path from Corniglia. The houses and roofs are rendered in an abstract manner and in general I used gestural impressionistic knife strokes.

Irregular shapes placed in perfect symmetry around a circle, colored with bright reds, blues, yellows, and greens and overlaid with nude figures creates a wonderful pop image reminiscent of Andy Warhol and other pop artists.



There comes a time when enough is enough and the superhero in us bursts forth with explosive energy to resolve the problems we face. Seemingly coming out of nowhere, the hero lies with us and is capable of untold acts of heroism. Find your superhero inside; you have one.

The unseen point in the distance is infinity. It is everything and nothing. It is the beginning and the end. It is existence and nonexistence. It is creation and it is entropy. It is science and it is religion. We spend our lives falling from infinity, headed towards infinity. This is me. This is you.

Rising out of the parchment of history, deep in the woods of fantasy, the castle of the fairies appears late in the day. Look closely and you will find the fairies cavorting in the trees above the castle. Look quickly, for by nightfall they will be gone, and with them, their magic.

This painting is 3 dimensional. I used sand mixed with gesso to give the coral and turtle shells the 3D look and feel.

this is my new piece of oil painting Even though I could not do well outdoor in my studio I tried to paint what I saw sunset by the bay. I am using Cobra water mixable oil colour by Royal Talens.
