Mediums of Art

Some people can paint masterpieces like Monet, or Van Gogh, while some create awesome relief masterpieces like Donatello or Michelangelo while some take a blank piece of paper and draw masterpieces like Picasso or Matisse point is we all have our medium of art, mine would be photographic art.

I hear time and time again "Oh it's just a picture anyone can go take a picture", yeah that may be possibly very true. Please keep in mind it takes just as much patience and time to find that shot, you may even go through 30-40 shots to find that one particular picture, that's an entire roll of film and then some. Thank God for digital heh?

Digital leads people to think photoshop, corel, or a multitude of other leading photograph editors, as well as post processing of the image. I do not believe in massive editing of a photo. Yes, there are few within my portfolio that are massively edited. I will gray-scale, crop, and make minor contrast or lighting adjustments, though I do not put a boat in the harbor, when there is no boat in the harbor.

I would like to say that as the type of artist that I am, I find it to be "ethically" wrong. I do not want to deceive the perception of my viewers of what it is that I take photographs of as it is what I saw at that moment and want you to see and enjoy that moment for yourself.

If there is any photograph that captures your attention and you to purchase it by all means feel free!
