This is a very simple way to paint realistic grapes. You may use any type of acrylic paint for this project.
1. I start out painting an oval with medium yellow.
2. Then glaze a little medium red or you can use burgundy if you prefer, leaving the middle and the side that the light direction is coming from more yellow.
3. Next dry brush the red or burgundy starting from the shadow end and streaking up towards the opposite end being sure to allow the paint to break apart and the under-painting of the yellow showing through.
4. Add details using a pale pink and lightly dry brushing across the entire grape careful not to overdo this part and leave plenty of the underlying colors showing through. Make sure to look at the reference photo as well as the example. Happy Painting!!
