Happy New Year!

This new years day I was feeling out of sorts, so I took some old art, mostly scribbles and stuff I don't know what I was keeping it for and just burned it. I feel better about life for no discernible reason, but it definitely helped. Got me thinking about how New Years so many people make resolutions, and ringing in the New Year with fire works and kisses are rituals too.

Ritual can happen any time, although the big ones happen at significant times like a May Pole dance in spring. A ritual can be as elaborate as a wedding, or as simple as a prayer. They can be a celebration or a cleansing, or it can be the way we support our favourite sports team. So for this contest anything relating to what you feel is a kind of ritual qualifies.

All images and mediums within the theme are accepted. Only submit your original art. Keep it tasteful and work safe please. Thank you and have fun!
