About Lia Marsman
I was born in Milano, in Northern Italy. I traveled extensively to different countries and continents while raising my family. Finally I settled in Canada where I had leisure to pursue my passion for painting. I like to paint with different media and supports, always ready to explore new subjects and new ways of expression. I haven't, to date, tried to paint with my nose, although, after seeing on TV this elephant painting with its trunk and getting top dollars for its artwork, maybe I will. I enjoy painting anything, and I especially like to paint portraits the traditional way. I studied drawing and painting under the tutelage of a well established american artist, and I attended workshops and courses at the Ontario College of...
