The image: fantastic. Exactly the image I was looking for, of the USS Clamagore (SS-343). The shirt: Color is a good royal blue. Fabric is fine. I wish the other shirts had a higher cotton content; I'd prefer the ladies' cut but it's only 50% cotton so I tried the youth shirt. After measuring my own t-shirts, I should have fit either medium or large, and went with large. Good thing I did! The large fits me and I'll keep it, but I do prefer a lil oversize so will try the X-large youth next time--and if I try the ladies' model I'll go for 2X-large!

The illustration was published in The Geography of Plants, 1807, in a large format. Humboldt (1769 -1859) was a Prussian geographer, naturalist, explorer, and influential proponent of Romantic philosophy and science. His work laid the foundation for the field of biogeography and for modern geomagnetic and meteorological monitoring.
