Benito, I am so happy to receive this note from YOU, a wonderful artist. Sounds as if you had a marvelous vacation. I wish the best to you and your family. I will write to you in e-mail another time soon. Your friend, :+) Anne Elizabeth Whiteway (just call me Anne)

Hi Anne-Elizabeth Whiteway: Sorry I Didn't Get Back To You Before. When I Received Your Wonderful Suggestions & Comments, I Was In The Rush Of Luggage Packing. I Just Returned {Today 12-01-09} From A Cruise Vacation; {Celebrating Our "Silver" 25th Anniversary} That I Surprised My Wife With. It Was A Very Exciting 9 Days In "Florida, Bahamas & Nassau Free Port" On The New "Carnival Dream" Ship. I Had You In Mind All The Time, That's Why Your Are The First To Whom I'm Writing. Incidentally I Was Looking At Your Brilliant "Paintings And Photos" & Among Them I Had to Pause At This Particular Painting… This "Barracuda" Reminds Me of My Painting "Jewels Of The Sea" Due To The Intricate Details And Coloring. Ms. Whiteway; Keep Up With Your Art Expressions And Continue Letting The World Know About You. I'm Very Grateful For Your Time To Advise Me; As Well As For Your Comments About My Paintings.

Love the colors and patterns of your fish. Thanks for all your comments. It means so much to me to get positive feedback. Keep up the great work. Amy

Thank you Bernard and thanks to others who commented on this. When someone, such as you Bernard, with all your talents notices my work and the details in it, it really pleases me. I paint with usually nothing to look at for reference. The ideas just appear in my imagination and I let the subject paint itself from there.on. I had an Uncle Bernard...a good man.

I like this painting very much because it appears almost abstract and it has so much detail. The colors you have used are excellent. I just recommended to Marlene Burns that she needed to use some Indio-Orange and Teal in her painting just as you have done in this one. At first glance it appears to be a Hindu spiritual painting which immediately gives it an air of mystery and the minute detail is standard in most Indian decorative painting. You should try abstraction because it allows freedom to go in any direction. Nice painting.

Thank you Ted and everyone. I feel as if we are family who haven't met. Yappy Hew Near. Oops! I mean HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Anne-E wishing you and your loved ones a happy and blessed holiday season.......ted

Hi Anne-Elizabeth, Thank you for your insightful comment on my Bridge over trebled waters! I love this work, it's full of vibrant and positive energy! Thank you again, Aliza

love the fish, i have a pond in my backyard.

Karin, Thank you. You have been a busy girl. I appreciate your comments. It boosts my spirits --then I'm drawn to my canvas and brushes and paint like a magnet.

Hi Elizabeth , I first want to thank you for your comments on my Grumpy Grouper and my magnolia.. I am sorry for not replying sooner.. I've been so busy trying to get 3 commissions finished .. I love this piece of yours .. BEAUTIFUL any comment from an artist as good as you is treasured ..Thanks ..Karin

Hi Anne E......Maya says thanks for the nice comment.....your work is so colorful and cheerful and you are always so nice in your compliments to others...have a beautiful day,Ted

AEW, this is such a strong image, especially the composition which directs the eye off to the left yet holds the viewer in the scene. Color, movement, all striking.

Thank you Bruce. I always appreciate your comments. Perhaps I will give this a different name.. ..I am thinking.....

Beautiful and complex mixed-media painting, Anne-Elizabeth. Perhaps it does deserve a name indicating more friendliness and beauty. Anyway, another niice and complex job. Peace, etc., Bruce across the bay

Whew! I went back and cropped this PROPERLY the way I should have done in the first place. Now Barracuda Lite is ready for prints. Regards to all, anne-elizabeth

Artist's Description

The title Barracuda Lite was chosen because when I completed this painting, I thought it reminded me of a barracuda, but not as fierce and dangerous. This painting was so simply from my imagination. The small shells and other designs were added after I painted the "main course." Extra fins and flourishes add to the frolicking fun. The original is for sale. $120.00 plus shipping and handling. Also prints can be purchased through FAA. See price list. This is not in a store but I call it Barracuda Lite. This has texture galore. Watch out he still might bite.
