Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you Cassandra!

Wonderful work... I love the rushing water.....

Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you Iris. Water has the ability to fascinate us. I painted this with a single color using lights and shadows to create the water.

Wow! Anne I appreciate all your work that I've enjoyed traveling through on your site and am really impressed by your dipping into the contemporary digital paint brush too. Thanks also for 'liking' my good ol' friend Harold Shull. I worked with him for years commuting together as commercial artists in N.Y.C. and as buddies many years ago and have many stories we share. By the way - might you be of Norwegian descent? I'm first generation Brooklyn Norwegian and have joined their sites - Bayridge Norwegians and Brooklyn Norwegians, great fun.

Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you George for your kind comments. My husband is the Norwegian. His grandfather was from Telemark, Norway.

What a fascinating digital hand drawing work, Anne! I love the powerful feeling you created! Thanks for sharing it! You are invited to my art stories at; http://originalartstories.blogspot.com/ ;-). Happy holidays!!

Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you Xueling Zou! I appreciate your comments very much!

Thank you Kristin! Fast moving water is mesmerizing. Glad you like this one!

Anne, what a great painting! The violence you've captured in the water is amazing.

You are most welcome Carmen and thank you!

This is beautiful. Thank you for the information on digital painting.

Thank you Margot! And Happy St. Patrick's Day.

It feels exactly like it is. I love water falls, rapids, white waters, etc... you rendered the emotions and the power perfectly. thank you for this beautiful piece. Margot

Thanks Kevin--probably a good idea for most of us. ;-D We used to go fishing in the Clark's Fork River. Absolutely stunning in its beauty. The trout are pretty good too. It was always river bank fishing--never out in it.

This one really works for me. It is the reason I stay out of boats on fast rivers.

Thank you Christiane!

Hi Anne, this is great work. It is so powerful. Christiane

Thank you Sonia. I did a bit of work getting the water to move. This one is a monochrome with the use of light and shadow--done mostly in Adobe Photoshop Elements. I drew the basic shapes in Paintbrush and proceeded from there.

Thanks Win! :-D

Thank you Paula. White water is fascinating to watch. This was painted with a single color, using shadows and lights for contrast.

Sensually stimulating!

Thank you, Eric! Glad you stopped by. Water is a world unto itself.

About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

my one comment is I wish I had bought a larger version

I ordered this because I liked the way the pictured wrapped around the frame. It is very thin and doesn't wrap around. It's also VERY shiny!

Received our large art piece in great order. It looks beautiful in our kitchen. Would order from this company again.

I mean it doesn't get much better than this. I've got this picture hanging front and center in my apartment for everyone to see when they enter. A beautiful tribute to the late Sean Taylor and his wonderful impact on the Redskins organization. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Definitely recommend

Artist's Description

This is the companion piece to Cherry Creek Lower Run. As with the aforementioned, this digital painting was done using a single color and the use of lights and shadows to create the illusion of fast moving and dangerous water. Every piece of art in my gallery is original, not scanned, not a photograph. Using only the computer mouse, I draw every line, add every bit of shading, highlights, blending, and refining to finish a piece. All of the art is started in Microsoft Paintbrush. The finishing process is done using Photoshop Elements. Every piece is printed using only the finest of professional materials available, by a professional printing house. Rigorous quality control is employed to guarantee a satisfactory work of fine art. Fine canvas Giclee and museum-quality signed, numbered and authenticated prints are available from the gallery.

About Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...
