I've got a '48 Vagabond, front cockpit steering. I'd love to replace the current wrap around windshield with one that looks like yours. It is more in keeping with the forties look of the boat. I wouldn't mind having upholstery like your either. You did a great job. It couldn't have been easy to part with it.

Hi John...Congratulations on your image and your sale...Cheers Bob

Very well done, congratulations!

Congrats on the sale!

Nice pic! Congrats on your sale!

Metal Print Reviews (3001)

Average Rating (4.92 Stars):

The art is only surpassed by the artist. A lit-from-within human of the exquisite kind! She bleeds on the world and magic grows in its place!

Let me preface this by saying I've purchased multiple metal prints from Fine Art America in the past and have not had any issues. Unfortunately I had one with this metal print. The photo content itself is great - the artist did a great job capturing Broken Top. it's the Fine Art America metal print manufacturing process and unresponsive customer service that gets low marks. When I received it (packaged with another metal print which was just fine) this had a pinpoint dent in the back of the metal which caused a point defect to protrude in an noticeable spot. The upper left corner of the frame was bent as well. Packaging was not dented at all, and the other metal print which I got was undamaged as well, so I can only conclude this happened during the manufacturing process. I sent a web form to customer service nearly 3 weeks ago with extensive pictures about this. I never got a response. Last week I tried started the automated returns process (which requires me to ship back the defective print at my expense which I read on the forums that damaged prints can be replaced free of charge) only to find out it needed to be received in 2 days because I was up against the 30 day limit. I shouldn't have waited so long to get a response, and/or should have been e-mailing customer support daily to get this resolved. In an ideal world Fine Art America would have sent me a replacement metal print and I would have fawned over the customer service and rated this 5 stars. Instead I have a metal print which I can't really hang and am out $300, and the artist unfairly gets a 1 star review. Not their fault Fine Art America messed this one up.

Picture looks great on the wall -- you can even pick out the Mt. Bachelor chair lifts in the photo.

Artist's Description

About John Herzog

I used to make my living as a cinematographer and then a stroke put an end to that career. However still-photography is something I can yet do and I'm having the time of my life with it. The nice thing about working as a "fine art" photographer is that there are no producers, agencies, directors, clients, or other committee members dictating how and what I should shoot or do. The only people I have to please are you and me. Very recently I learned to my chagrin that there were still one or two people who did have influence over what I could/should do or not do. They're gone now. Not to get bogged down in legalese, but all the images on this site are copyrighted and you shouldn't be trying to download them or anything. Most of these...
