The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Artist's Description
Green algae. Hair-like green algae (Chlorophyta) clinging to rocks. These algae inhabit an intertidal zone, where a river's freshwater mixes with the saltwater of a loch. Seaweed (upper left) are also seen. Green algae are adapted to exploit a habitat that is rich in nutrients and sunlight, but are subjected to severe environmental stresses. These stresses include constantly changing salinity and temperature, occasional drying out, and bashing by waves. Algae are primitive plants that have no true leaves, stems, roots, flowers or veins. Like higher plants they can photosynthesise (grow using the Sun's energy). Photographed in north-western Scotland.
