I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

LOUIS HENNEPIN (1640-1701). French missionary and explorer in America. Father Hennepin and two of his companions being taken prisoner by Sioux Native Americans while exploring the Mississippi River, 11 April 1680. Oil on canvas, 1847-48, by George Catlin.
