When will I get my order???
This is an altered photograph of a few bushels of apples. The original shot is also shown in this gallery. More and more, I am beginning to consider the painting that I do, or the photography that I shoot, as only a portion of the art technique that I intend to complete on the computer. I have no interest in taking other folk's images and incorporating them into what I am doing, but am enjoying working with my own images, and incorporating new techniques as I learn them. Old dog..new tricks kind of thing! I think this image would pair up wonderfully with the Pie Pumpkins for Sale piece developed in the same manner.
I have been a producing artist for over 30 years, starting out as a potter/sculptor back in my native Michigan. I now paint, work with mixed media, and a bit of photography. . .and now and then, a little clay! I have become known primarily for my work in a dimensional, recycled mixed media w/acrylic, and all of my originals are also available as prints and as cards. Joining Fine Arts America has led me to pull out some of my old images, and to find a renewed interest and pleasure in the techniques and styles that I have passed through over the past few years.
