Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

William Henry Welch (1850-1934), US pathologist. Welch studied medicine at the Columbia medical school in New York, receiving his MD in 1875. From 1884 he worked at the new medical faculty at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. In 1892, working with Nuttall, he discovered the bacteria that caused gas gangrene. By 1894 he was the first dean of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also founded the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health (1916). He received the Distinguished Service Medal for his service in World War I. Artwork by German-US medical illustrator Max Brodel (1870-1941).
