The art of the car customizer is tricky. Relatively few cars lend themselves to an extensive visual overhaul, and the ones that do often still look better stock. Yet, as famed customizer George Barris proved, the right car model can really come alive with that special touch. At first glance the boxy 1965 Cadillac DeVille doesn't seem to be the stuff of dream cars. Yet by radically lowering its massive body shell, and filling out the wheel wells with oversized blinged-out rims, a radically different, yet pleasing effect is achieved. Suddenly, the car seems to lengthen, and the somewhat bulky body becomes sleek and exciting.
