Beef liver fluke. Light micrograph of the reproductive region of a beef liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica). This endoparasite lives in two hosts; the primary host (when a fluke) is cattle and the secondary host (when larvae) is a snail (Limnaea truncatula). nd do much damage and feed on the liver cells and blood. Magnification: x5 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
