A small village in the north-central part of Salem Township. A post office was established in 1886, and so named because it was at the crossing of two county roads.
On September 22, 2006 a F4 tornado struck Crrosstown and leveled the community. Fortunately no fatalities occurred.
I could not find any commercial buildings still standing as I drove through this community however Wikipedia list three churches. The Zion Luthern Church pictured here suffered extensive damage during the tornado and has been completely rebuild.
What a beautiful structure it is today.
