Reduced blood flow in polyvascular disease. Coloured angiogram of arteries in the upper chest, neck and part of the head of a 70-year-old woman with polyvascular disease. This condition involves arterial disease such as atherosclerosis in several parts of the body. Here, this has caused blockages and severe narrowing of the left subclavian and right subclavian arteries (centre), reducing the blood flow to the neck and head and causing dizziness and loss of pulse in the arms. The heart is partially seen at bottom centre. This image shows the arteries before treatment. Angiograms use a contrast dye to highlight blood vessels. This is a right anterior oblique view.
