Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you Iris!

Thank you Angelina! The beach is one of my favorite places to hang out. (^_^)

So peaceful.

Thank you so much Natalie!

Very beautiful work, Anne!

Thank you Michi!

This is soooo lovely! I can practically feel and smell the crisp ocean air.

Thank you Lara. Your work is wonderful!

Hi Sonia. Coastal Washington State is one of those areas where the weather changes at a whim. It can go from sunny blue to very grey in a matter of minutes. I love it all. :-D

Thank you, Marlene! Seascapes, lighthouses, birds and lightning storms all have soft spots in my heart. That ocean is awesome to behold anytime you visit it.

Anne, Thank you for your kind comments on "Baby Raccoon" and my work in general. Every week, the update letter shows that particular drawing far outpacing the others for hits. I was scratching my head over that until it dawned on me that it must be the "baby" in the title. Again, thanks for noticing. This is just one of your paintings that I really like. I think, like the others, it's the textures and the depth created by that path.

Thanks, Tammy for the nice compliments. I wanted the viewer to feel they had their sights on the water, so the middle ground is a bit hazy and ill-defined. Your gallery has some real treasures in it!

It is so interesting how one group of texture flows into the next. The horizontal lines are fantastic!

Thank you, Amanda. I love that ocean. :-)

I love the way my eyes want to travel over this painting!

Thank you, Patty! Love your big-eyed girls.

love it...thank you

The print is beautiful but it came totally bent and unable to frame. We will see if Fine Art will replace the print.

Artist's Description

When I painted this seascape, we had just been over to the ocean and it was a day when there were few other people and the sands were unmarked by footprints. The winds were playing gently with the beach grass and the clouds were clearing, giving the sun a chance to send shafts of light to the water. This painting is very nearly square.

About Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...
