Artist's Description
Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) angiogram of the left leg of a 56 year old woman, from behind. There is partial thrombosis (blood clot) causing a blockage of the distal femoral artery (top left). A network of collateral arteries has grown around the blockage, maintaining the blood supply to the lower leg.
