Artist's Description
This fun project is a 3D rendition of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's "Race?" decal from 1965. I've been a fan of Roth's custom vehicles and artwork since I was a kid growing up in the late '60s and '70s and when I found his "Race?" decal on the internet I decided to do a 3D version of it. My model was built with Art of Illusion and has over 200 parts taking about 15 hours to complete. Final rendering was touched up using Gimp 2. Color maps were made using a combination of Serif Draw and Gimp 2.
About Stuart Swartz
I work in a wide variety of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and computer graphics. I grew up drawing cartoons and building model cars, tanks and planes so naturally this interest has had a big influence upon my artwork. I am especailly interested in antique machinery and vehicles of all kinds. Over the last couple years I've had several people ask about creating some Christmas cards featuring my artwork so I've added a Chritmas card gallery. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy my work! I also have T-shirts and other items featuring my artwork available on Zazzle.com, store name StusPlace
