Colourful scenes at Mayfield Lavender, Surrey where the crop is at its prime. A stunning sight on the Surrey, London borders near Banstead, a field of dazzling purple that would look more at home in the south of France along with the scorching temperatures that hit 30 dergrees today.
Photography has always been part of my life. My Dad always had a large collection of cameras around the house, he processed his own film and taking photos was the norm. My first camera was a Zenit SLR bought for my 12th birthday. At 18 I passed an A level in photography. My interest in photography started to become a more serious hobby around 2001 and I put on the first of two exhibitions at my local library. The positive feedback and sales of prints encouraged me to take my hobby to a higher level and I subsequently purchased my first digital camera and began taking photos more frequently. My main passion is for landscape photography but I also enjoy capturing images of modern architecture and the detail of close up...
