I fell in love with this framed art of Eddie Van Halen as soon as I took it out of the box! The quality is phenomenal and the framing is perfect. While the print was beautiful, and shipping packaging seemed good, the glass in the frame had been punched in and has a bow in it that I now have to pay a framing store to fix. Really disappointed in that aspect but otherwise happy with this piece in our collection thanks!

This piece has been featured in the FAA Group "Networking Our Art". Blue Bayou is a Dahlia classified as AN-L/PR. This means it is Anemone (Powder Puff) in form, and Colored Lavender and Purple. It stands about 42" tall. Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. A member of the Asteraceae or Compositae, dicotyledonous plants, related species include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum and zinnia. There are at least 36 species of dahlia, with hybrids commonly grown as garden plants. Flower forms are variable, with one head per stem; these can be as small as 2" in diameter or up to 12" ("dinner plate"). This great variety results from dahlias being octoploidsthat is, they have eight sets of homologous chromosomes, whereas most plants have only two. In addition, dahlias also contain many transposonsgenetic pieces that move from place to place upon an allelewhich contributes to their manifest...
