SHIRT IS GREAT, BUT LOTS OF CONFUSION WITH FINE ART AMERICA CUSTOMER SERVICE... TOOK OVER A MONTH OF EMAILS TO FIND OUT THE T SHIRT COLOR WAS NOT AVAILABLE, HAD TO REORDER. NO EXPEDITED SHIPPING OR OTHER DISCOUNT OFFERED FOR THEIR SCREW UP. GOT THE SHIRT A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE OUR EVENT, THANKFULLY. BUT DIDNT HAVE IT TO GIVE TO AT CHRISTMAS AS PLANNED.IMAGE ITSELF IS A CLASSIC. SHIRT IS NOT TOP QUALITY, CERTAINLY NOT WORTH WHAT THEY ARE CHARGING.

This momma Ruby Throated Hummingbird is busy feeding her two tiny babies in a nest built with lichen in a Texas Ash tree. The little babies have their little "pin" feathers just coming in, one is feathered out slightly more than the other. Momma is a pretty bright green like the bright green Texas Ash leaves. The view is as if you happened to be lucky enough to see them peering through the branches of the tree.
I once had a female hummingbird build a nest in an Umbrella tree that was in a pot on my front porch. I was so shocked to see the two tiny little jellybean sized eggs in a thimble sized nest, right there by my front door! The mom was a devoted little bird, the babies grew quickly and were gone before you knew it. Just like everything hummingbirds do, they grew quickly, got their feathers and were gone! Mom blended in quite well with her green colored back in the green leaves.
The original is a 5"x7" image on a 6"x9" watercolor 140 lb. acid free bond.

Drawing and painting animals has always been my favorite choice in art and have been drawing since I was old enough to pick up a crayon. Art is part of what I do, not just something to do. I hold a degree in Commercial Art, worked in graphic and commercial art for several years, and studied Studio Art at the University of California, Riverside. My favorite subjects are animals, especially wild animals and birds. I have recently completed several hummingbird works and have been lucky enough to have my work selected for the Rockport-Fulton Hummer Bird Festival T-Shirt Art contest for 2014 and 2015.
