Interesting description - wonderful capture Laurie! V/F

Love this cool image and place, Laurie. This place sound right up my alley. I studied geology and LOVE hissing and gurgling pools and other geothermal events. Also being on the SA fault I would be waiting for the earth to move...I know I'm weird, even my husband thinks I'm a little odd but I love stuff like this.

Fantastic work Laurie! Love it! f/v!

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Perfect gift for my college niece!!! They love to have their towels for spring break! Highly recommend. I recently bought round beach towels at a major retailer. The quality from fineartamerica far surpasses it! The artwork on the towel is vibrant and attractive. Love it!

Artist's Description

Texture from Shadowhouse Creations “Mud Pots”, Niland, CA Another incredibly cool thing we found the other day down here in the desert…When we got out of the car, we could immediately hear these things gurgling. Some of the bigger ones did some hissing, too. So weird!! RoadsideAmerica.com wrote this: “Mud Pots near the town of Calipatria. The mud pots are formed in geothermal areas where there is water pushing the ash or mud up to the surface forming mini volcanoes. This is a virtually undiscovered area where one can get up close and personal as the mud pots burp, gargle and croak without a sign to mark their presence and without a fence to protect them. This area is on the St Andreas fault and there are power generating stations in the area using geothermal techniques to generate electrical power."
