Description
I recently spent 3 days at the St. Francis Retreat House in San Juan Bautista, California and enjoyed its simple, natural beauty. One of the features, and perhaps this is due to the Franciscan tradition of loving animals, is that the deer and birds were far less skittish than most and actually stayed enjoying the beauty that surrounds them. None of them scampered off before I could take a few good photos of them. This lovely Blue Jay perched on a lawn chair and was highlighted by the beautiful garden backdrop. I added several of Jai Johnson's textures to create the Impressionistic feel to the image.
