Melissa I love your creative mind great C.P. work ! v&f

Wow - Melissa this is an incredible drawing - so much detail. I love the first impression of the little owl in his nest hole but then all the other faces and critters start coming at you.! Just awesome. fav/v/fb/g+1

Awsome drawing.....With coloured pencils!!!! wonderful creation.

Thanks Rejeena! I am a stickler for details! This was a lot of fun to create! :)

Melissa, This is a fantastic drawing it caught my eye right away when I was going through the Lets All Participate's images. Great detail and color, love the eyes on the owl so detailed and his surroundings with the detail in the bark of the tree and the leaves above him are fantastic, also love the little snail crawling up the tree on the right. So much to see and to comment on in this drawing. Excellent piece of art, voted, Tweet, FB and Google+ promoted and chosen as my Pick of the Day 4 from the Lets All Participate for today, Sunday

John, Such wonderful words! Thank you so much! "A Hoot and a Howl in the Bark" is one of my favorite pieces. The snail, dragonfly, leaves and owl face are drawn and cut out and then reapplied to give it more dimension. The snail shell is cut out and popped up. The dragonfly wings are scored plastic and they look pretty realistic. The leaves have wire behind so that I could shape them and the owl face has real feathers around it. I had a lot of fun with this one!
