How the forest works is a wonder. We (as the totality of mankind) are creating a mechanical world. Were building robots to make products with very little human intervention, a central nervous system we call the world wide web, and artificial intelligence to help make decisions in a world that is changing rapidly. The forest is a system similar to what we are building. Plants, and animals work together to create a beautiful working machine. Looking out over Lee's Bluff in Madison County I'm wondering how we can improve on such a system.
