Description
Abby, in the beginning, is the first in a series of photos of a dog named Abby. Abby is a photographic story of a pit bull mix that, along with her siblings were rescued from being put to sleep. It was photographer, Deborah Fay and her partner Yvonne who rescued Abby when it was discovered though their mail carrier that Abby along with the entire litter of puppies were going to be put to sleep. Abby was barely seven weeks old. So they knew something had to be done. The animal lovers they are, they brought Abby home to add to their busy household of 3 other dogs and a cat, animals they also rescued. Their mail carrier was able to save two, and once the word was put out that these puppies needed rescuing, all found homes. Deborah and Yvonne found out early on the Abby seemed to enjoy the camera. Deborah felt her comical expressions and curious behavior needed to be captured on camera as Abby makes her journey though life. You will find the photos, endearing, often comical and sweet. It brings home just how enriched our lives can be by the simple act of rescuing an unwanted animal. Both Deborah and Yvonne will tell you that Abby has brought more joy to their lives than could ever be put into words. We invite viewers to return as more photos will be added to the gallery as time goes on, documenting Abby, the life of a rescued dog.
