This photograph is so beautiful!! We purchased as a wedding gift for our friends as this was where they were married and they loved it so much. Thank you, Steve, for your fantastic work!

Very disappointed. There were dents in the metal that coincided with the frame being attached/pounded onto the back. And bubbles within the print. Love the picture just not the craftsmanship.

We chose this picture from the many amazing photos Rick Locke has taken, and we just love it! It is so vibrant and makes us think of traveling, farmers markets, the beach... It evokes so many positive feelings and fits in perfectly in the room we have it displayed in. We love Rick's work; it was so hard to choose just one picture at this point but we plan on adding more! We had this produced on metal, and are very happy with that option; it works perfectly for this picture. Rick was able to provide very helpful suggestions and advice before we ordered.

Dancer, corset, peacock - sassy! The metal is light weight, ,easy to handle, and sturdy. I have future plans to purchase more art from Fine Art of America.

Artist's Description

Adakame - This is a mid-century modern and atomic-age style abstract illustration. It reminds me of the 1950's space-age optimism, where the aliens were all strange and wonderful, and the cars had big wings and were nearly ready to fly. I remember when I was little, in the theatres before movies their were these psychedelic kaleidoscope / lava lamp shows, lifelike geometric shapes shifting and moving, colored oils oozing into biomorphic shapes. And I was hypnotized by them. They imprinted me. But I felt like I was seeing something no on else saw. It was almost like cloud watching, or like watching television static after all the stations went to sleep. You became singularly drawn to watching them, trying to find patterns in the noise, a meaning or a message, something recognizable in the chaos.

About Bill ONeil

I suppose my artwork inspirations include a few odd conspirators like the chaotic influences of cryptography, prime numbers, and decay. I'm also influenced by Eames-era artifacts, retro-modern abstract art, architecture, and advertising. And all these inspirations manifest themselves in the different pieces I produce. I also like to infuse art and design into everyday objects like mousepads. I like transforming work or home environments into more creative and inspiring places to be. I really never approach my art very logically. It’s all fairly impulsive and obsessive. I just try to understand what it means when it’s complete. I like to think of my style as a super-nautural fusion of urban graffiti, mid-century modern abstracts,...
