Autumn in the Adirondacks (NY) is beautiful, and one of the best times to visit the many waterfalls. Just south of Speculator, an old road leads to Austin Falls, which actually has several falls along it's slide so it's like visiting multiple waterfalls but all at one location. Most of the ravine is steep and the wet rocks are very slippery so one needs to exercise caution so they don't take an unwanted dip.
