Great energy and a wonderful expression of the 'chill' Phil! :)

Phil Chadwick replied:

Very kind of you Susan. The plein air work tends to have more life to them. The moment of inspiration comes and goes rather quickly like the passing of a weather front :>))

It was a gift for a friend who has worked on these rigs. It’s now in his own company facility. He loves it.

It would be very helpful to know what the # s correspond to.

Artist's Description

This is the moment when the cold front crossed Singleton Lake. The southwesterly winds shifted abruptly to the northwest and got quite gusty. The cumulus clouds billowed up a bit and then started to align along the northwesterlies. It was actually a classic cold front although the predicted shower activity occurring in the numerical atmosphere did not materialize in the real world. I enjoyed the pastel colours of the mid afternoon sun.

The blustery northwesterly winds behind the cold front stirred up the lake.
